The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer To Debut With Transformers: Dark Of The Moon?
According to Movie-List, it looks like the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will debut with Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon this coming July. The site is apparently both very reliable and very accurate, but as ever, it’s worth taking the following with a pinch of salt. What follows is an excerpt from both the article itself and subsequent posts in the comments section by its author. It’s a little hard to explain without copying and pasting the entire conversation, but as you can see, an emphasis is put on the “BIG” trailer being Spider-Manrelated
“Also, there will be a BIG trailer debut coming with ‘Transformers 3’ for one of next summers major tentpoles. But thats all i’m saying for now. I think you of all people, Spider-Man 101, will be able to figure it out!”

Eisenberg’s next trick: ‘Now You See Me’
After a prolonged casting search, Summit Entertainment and director Louis Leterrier (“Clash of the Titans”) have finally found a leading man for their magician-heist pic “Now You See Me,” as Jesse Eisenberg has agreed in principal to star and is in early negotiations to work his movie star magic.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Likes Jesse Eisenberg Play For Its New Season
While rumors swirl about whether Jesse Eisenberg will re-team with his “Squid and the Whale” director, Noah Baumbach, for a new film, that much-in-demand “Social Network” star has confirmed another project that will require more than the minimum amount of his attention.
Mr. Eisenberg, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance as the Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network,” will have his play “Asuncion” presented by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater as part of its 2011-12 season and will be part of its cast, the theater company said on Thursday.
Mr. Eisenberg’s play chronicles two friends – Edgar, who keeps a blog that condemn American imperialism, and Vinny, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in black studies – whose self-perceived open-mindedness is put to the test when a Filipina woman named Asuncion becomes their roommate. Mr. Eisenberg will portray Edgar (the blogger, of course) and Kip Fagan will direct the play, which will be presented at the Cherry Lane Theater. Performances are to begin on Oct. 12 with an opening night scheduled for Oct. 27; additional cast members are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Jesse Eisenberg Has Modest Diva Moment in NYC
Is Jesse Eisenberg a diva? Well, perhaps a diva when it comes to being modest: The Social Network star reportedly refused to pose for photo at a reading for The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers in New York because he “isn’t that famous.”
Even though he felt uncomfortable having his photo taken, the star was all smiles when photographers snapped photos of him reading. Jesse read passages from young writers under the age of 18. Other celebrity guests included Lili Taylor and Adrienne Bailon.

Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo, and Tracy Morgan Are PREDISPOSED
Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), Oscar winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter), and 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan have reportedly signed on to star in the indie comedyPredisposed. According to Vulture, the trio will play a Julliard-hopeful, his drug-addicted mother, and said mother’s drug dealer, Sprinkles, respectively. Predisposed will be directed by Oscar nominated scribe/co-writer Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia) with Philip Dorling sharing co-writing credit as well. Briefly, the comedy will center on the dysfunctional relationship between Eisenberg and Leo’s mother and son pair. The story is set on a day in which the son is interviewing for Julliard while his mother is busy feuding with her drug-dealer/checking herself into rehab while intoxicated so as to overcome her lack of health insurance.
Leo should be well prepared for her role as Eisenberg’s junkie mom as she made the same turn when Predisposed screened at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival as a short directed by the aforementioned Philip Dorling. Shooting on this promising feature length version of Predisposed is set to begin this summer.
Jesse Eisenberg and Melissa Leo to star in indie comedy together
Last night, Melissa Leo and Jesse Eisenberg were rivals, each hoping their respective Best Picture nominees would go home with more Oscar hardware. Tonight, Vulture has learned, they’re co-stars. Both are committing to star in the indie comedy Predisposed, a macabre look at the unhealthy relationship between a drug-addicted mother (Leo) and her college-bound son (Eisenberg), set on the day of both his interview at Julliard and her planned arrival in rehab.
Jesse Eisenberg Impersonates NPR Host on Facebook
Sagal: We understand you were not a big Facebook guy though, before you got this role.Eisenberg: No, uh and this is something that I really wanted to tell you because I had never seen Facebook and then I was rehearsing for the movie and I was, my character was discussing all of these things that I didn’t know anything about. And so I got a Facebook page while I was listening to this show and I didn’t want to use my own name, so I used your name, um, and…So, the account has been deleted soon thereafter. But, it was the strangest thing.
Sagal: Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. You’re telling me that part your research for this role you opened a Facebook account under my name.
Eisenberg: So I would. I was doing interviews for several months about the movie, and people would always ask me, “Do you have a Facebook page?”. And I would always say no because I had deleted the account. But people would say that they had looked online the night before and they saw that I did have a Facebook page, and that I had several. I would always get like quietly furious that somebody was, you know, pretending to be me. And it never occurred to me, until they asked me to do this show, that I had, I had done that to somebody. And I apologize, you know, if uh, you know, you have experienced any strange looks….
Sagal: Are you looking forward to this week being over, and you know, you won’t be Oscar nominee anymore. You’ll either be an Oscar winner or just Jesse Eisenberg again.
Eisenberg: Uh, well, you don’t lose the, the nominee.
Sagal: Oh, excuse me. I’m sorry!
Eisenberg: No they don’t force you back into a civilian.
Sagal: I know. They don’t take away your privileges.
Eisenberg: No, no, no. No, um, I mean, yea you know you build up this great anticipation and its just, you know, it’s a strange kind of place to live in for several months, with that kind of that anticipation. It’s a strange and unsustainable feeling to have.
Adam Felber: Will you show up out front there on your bike?
Sagal: You should do that! You should. They have the limos pulling up and you should just ride up on your Schwinn. I think that would be totally cool.
Eisenberg: Yea, and then where do I lock it up, though?
Sagal: Just hand it to Joan Rivers and say, “Watch this for a few hours. I’ll be back”. What is she going to do, say no? Who’s your date? Can you tell me?
Eisenberg: Uh, I’m taking my mother and you know, uh, she, she couldn’t be more thrilled.
Sagal: I bet! That’s really exciting. That’s really great.
Paula Poundstone: That is so sweet. Is she going to ride in the basket?
